The International Peace Foundation will bring seven Nobel Prize recipients to Indonesia to give speeches at local universities, the foundation's advisory board chairman Prince Alfred of Liechtenstein announced after meeting with Vice President Jusuf Kalla at his office in Jakarta on Tuesday (12/04).

"We want to promote peace, as well as learn from Indonesia. Indonesia is a modern Muslim country, a model of peace. There is a lot we can learn from Indonesia," Prince Alfred said.

"The Nobel laureates will visit Indonesia next year," said Vice President Jusuf Kalla, who will be an honorary chairman of the foundation for the program.

Foundation chairman Uwe Morawetz said he hoped the Nobel laureates could inspire Indonesia's younger generation. In the long term, they may also work together with Indonesian universities in research partnerships.

The Nobel laureates brought to Indonesia will represent most of the Nobel Prize categories including economic sciences, peace, medicine, physics and chemistry.
