Malaysia is on the right track in leading by example with an orderly transfer of power as it augurs well for economic development.

American civil rights and political activist Rev Jesse Jackson Sr said Malaysia has put in a stable government, a smooth transition of power and productivity in place.

"On this day, we lead power by example and not example by power," he told reporters after paying a courtesy call on Foreign Minister Datuk Anifah Aman at Wisma Putra, here.

Jackson, who is the president and founder of Rainbow and PUSH Coalition, was asked on the transfer of country's premiership between Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on April 3.

Meanwhile, Anifah said during their discussion that Jackson, among others, was impressed with the successful implementation of the social contract in the country.
