HSH Prince Alfred and Princess Raffaella of Liechtenstein will arrive in Thailand this weekend to launch a lecture programme that will include presentations by 20 Nobel laureates. The Vienna-based International Peace Foundation plans to hold more than 150 seminars, workshops, conferences and public meetings.

The highlight will be public meetings featuring at least 20 Nobel laureates, who will visit Thailand for the first time. The laureates hold prizes for Peace, Physics, Chemistry, Medicine and Economics.

During the visit, Prince Alfred will discuss the programme with prominent personalities including Parliament President Uthai Pimchaichon, former prime minister Anand Panyarachun, Supreme Commander General Surayud Chulanont, Chulalongkorn University President Prof. Tatchai Sumitra and Unesco director Sheldon Shaeffer.

The programme will be held throughout the year to allow the Thai public to exchange views with invited dignitaries on international politics, economy, science, culture and the media.
